ruby scripting

I am wondering how people are using Ruby.

I have been working on writing a script for our team to setup some daily deployments. I have worked with Python before & I was wondering if I should venture into Ruby since everyone is talking and using Ruby.

Of course I started off with Ruby & at this time I feel it is no different from Python. You can do everything in python that you can with Ruby.

Well I have still not dug deep into Ruby to really feel the power of Ruby.
